On Infringement Safari

Easing my way back into blogging mode, I can happily report that Yucatan’s colonial capitol, Merida, provided some STL fodder. One afternoon on infringement safari, I bagged some worthy game: a suspiciously greyhound-like logo on a city bus, and a more-than-suspicious imitation of VANS shoes called VEEENS.

Pretty soon, the hunter realized, he’d need to retreat back to the cool climes of Seattle and get back to work.

yep
i'm from mexico
once i was shopping at the mall and i stopped in front of a shoe store when i saw some "vans" that i have always wanted. i was abot to purchase them when i read some "VEENS" logo instead of the "Vans" one... too bad for me...
i also saw some Converse imitations called "Jox Star" sumthing like that, and instead of the ALL-STAR logo, it had a "SUPERSTAR" one... creepy

but don't blame mexico at all, lately in a mall from the U.S.A i saw at t-j-maxx a pair of converse look-like, but these ones were from LEVI'S! is that worse? dunno, all i can say is that people is commercializing too much stealing other companies' ideas day by day, which is sad.... someone has got to do something about it! sorry for my english
